Heat Pump Explainer video for British Gas
As the world becomes more sustainable, so do lots of businesses. British Gas, one of the countries most trusted energy providers have made many moves towards cleaner energy sources.
This video was intended to inform customers of the process and benefits of getting an air source heat pump installed in their home.
I kept to the British Gas branding style, using their signature cyan to open and close the video. Their British Gas font follows strict guidelines to remain in sentence case so I made sure this was consistent throughout. Iconography is to bring emphasis to the captions or as a device to make the technical explanations of the product more easily digestible.
Continuing the focus on sustainability, I collaborated on a video project aimed at showcasing the intricacies and advantages of installing solar panels in residential homes. Given the complex technical details discussed in the video, I employed pull-out captions and animated icon diagrams to enhance the viewer's comprehension. These visual aids were instrumental in simplifying the explanation of how solar panels function and effectively underscored their benefits, ensuring a clear understanding for the audience. To maintain consistency and coherence, I adhered to the branding and icon style of British Gas, crafting the video to seamlessly integrate with similar content on their website. This approach not only enhanced clarity but also ensured the video's seamless alignment with the existing visual identity of British Gas's online presence.
